From the start, in 1988, STEFANY EMBALLAGES SERVICES Company has distinguished itself by manufacturing precut rolls polyethylene packaging. It has constantly adapted to new requirements and enlarged its range of products.
1988
René GRAIL,a 25 years of experience Sales Manager in polyethylene Industry, founded STEFANY EMBALLAGES SERVICES Company.
1993
His son J.Philippe GRAIL joined him and computerized the company, providing a better orders follow-up and
production efficiency.
1998
René GRAIL retired and J.Philippe GRAIL became the manager of the company.
2001
S.E.S. has started to import containers from Asia ( zip and wicketed bags, aprons etc.)
2002
S.E.S. began in biodegradable and watersoluble products (direct importation from EU companies
patents of more than 20 years old-)
2003
Early 2003
S.E.S. becomes the first French manufacturer of water soluble strip laundry bags for contaminated linen.
Mid 2003
S.E.S. becomes the first French independant manufacturer of hot-melt glue closing system bags.
2004
Early 2004
Very specific waste materials sorting and recycling in cores.
Cores are used to wind up tubes and hoods ( see the picture opposite )
Mid 2004
S.E.S. begins trials on biodegradable plastic made out of corn starch.
S.E.S proposes new compounds (eg Ecoltext®) in compliance with european Directive 94/62/EEC
2005
Standardization of several of our products:
- EU
- Class I- 93/42/EEC Directive (medical devices)
2006
A year of research and development in favour of sustainable growing.
Launching of packagings made out of Biotext® (Biodegrable and compostable material coming from
sustainable resources )
End of 2006 :
First trials of food friendly watersoluble bags.
2007 :
S.E.S. invested in new premises and equipment (extruders and sealing machines) in order to manufacture bags, hoods and sheets proposed in precut rolls.
2008 :
The Company moved to St Pal de Mons : a 8000 sqm surface for the workshop and storehouse.
The workshop complies with high level hygiene recommendations.
Start up of 2 new extrusion lines.
Thanks to an exclusive software, every single product is tracked « from the granule to the final product »
Trials and production of 8µ thick HDPE, 15µ thick LDPE and 10µ thick bio-compostable material.
2010
An investment in 2 news extrusion lines operational in May and December, enables SES to expand its range of product. SES also reinforces its presence on the medical bags market with the arrival in Otober of its new sealing machine.
The sealing and extrusion warehouses are now separated to garantee a maximum level of hygiene, maintenance works (painting, ceiling ...) have been done.
2011
In March, SES has been audited and certified ISO 9001 : 2008
The scope of the Quality Management System is as follows :
EXTRUSION AND TRANSFORMATION OF FLEXIBLE PLASTIC PACKAGING INTO CONVENTIONAL AND BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER, APPLIED TO THE FOLLOWING BRANCHES : MEDICAL, PHARMACEUTICAL, FOOD INDUSTRY, LAUNDRY AND INDUSTRY.
Mid of April : our 5°extrusion machine is ready to start.
We are now able to propose width from 40 mm (flat) to 1800 mm (with gussets).
